Dates for Your Diary 2018

PLEASE NOTE: The Members’ Film Show will now be held on Tuesday 27th February at 1.30pm. It’s the classic 1950’s film High Society – a musical comedy starring Bing Crosby, Grace Kelly and Frank Sinatra. Refreshments available.

Monthly Coffee Morning –  Our next coffee morning will be held on Tuesday 6th March from 10.30 to 12 noon. Do come along and make new friends. Everyone is welcome. Thanks to everyone who came along to the February coffee morning – we raised £50 for the Kent & Sussex Air Ambulance Service.

Information and Advice Service

The House of Friendship is delighted to be hosting free and confidential information and advice sessions for people aged 50 and over. The sessions are provided by Age UK East Sussex and take place by appointment at the House of Friendship on alternate Wednesdays from 10am to 1pm. Information and advice can be provided on a wide range of subjects of importance to people in later life including welfare benefits and money, social care and health, housing options and local services. Assistance can also be given with the completion of some types of forms. For an appointment, please telephone Jenny O’Connor at Age UK East Sussex on 01273 476704 ext 118. Jenny is available from 9.30am to 4.30pm on Tuesdays and Wednesdays and from 9.30am to 1.30pm on Thursdays. Messages can be left on her voicemail outside of her working hours.

Cruse Bereavement Service

Sessions are held every Friday morning from 10.30am to 12pm. The first half hour is for new clients and the second hour is group therapy. Look at the Cruse website for more details –

Footcare Service

We work with Age UK East Sussex to provide a toe nail cutting service and more comprehensive podiatry care priced at £12 and £22 respectively.  Call into Reception for an application pack or telephone 01273 476469 for more details.
